Team Pogue hosted its 3rd annual Family Fun Day for Sun City Carolina Lakes residents and their grandkids yesterday! What a fantastic turnout! Kids of ALL AGES enjoyed watching close up magic and balloon animals with Magic Barry, visiting a petting zoo, making giant bubbles in the BUBBLE ZONE, posing for caricature drawings with artist Lonnie Knabel and getting tattoos.
A special thanks to Captain Smith and Fireman Joe who brought a Hook and Ladder truck from the Pleasant Valley Fire Department and to Chief Tom McCollugh of the Indian Land Fire Department who brought a rescue truck. What a treat for the kids!
Also, a huge shout out to our friends and neighbors who volunteered during the event doing everything from handing out popsicles to helping with bubbles and face decorating! We couldn’t have done it without their help! Denise Townsend organized their volunteer “crew”. Marion and David Jackson passed out Popsicles while Arline George and Janine Gross passed out Popcorn. Denise, Sue, Kathy and Donna worked at the tattoo station! Ted and Jane Camburn helped kids of all ages make giant bubbles at the Bubble Zone!
Thanks to everyone who joined us for the fun and games at this community event!
